Champions League Men’s title on Sunday 17th May 2009 to win the
prestigious crown for the second time in the 16 year history of the
club competition; the previous success being in 2000.They beat TTF Liebherr Ochsenhausen by three matches to nil.

Prior to the H.I.S. 2009 World Table Tennis Championships, the 11th ITTF Sports Science Congress was held in the Yokohama Sports Medical Center. The congress was initiated by former ITTF President Ichiro Ogimura and has been staged since 1989.

China’s Zhang Yining regained her Women’s Singles title on Tuesday
5th May 2009 by beating national team colleague, Guo Yue, in a contest
where she recovered from a two games to nil deficit to secure victory.Guo
Yue started in the fast lane, her speed proving the telling factor but
from the third game onwards, Zhang Yining gradually assumed control. -

Chinese city of Changchun, the banner read "Wang Hao, we are proud of
you"; the reference was to the fact that one month earlier he had
suffered agonies, losing to Korea’s Ryu Seung Min in the Men’s Singles
