China’s Guo Yue and Li Xiaoxia, the no.1 seeds, won the Women’s
Doubles title at the H.I.S. World Championships in Yokohama on Monday
4th May 2009.At the final hurdle they beat compatriots, Ding Ning and Guo Yan in five games to arrest the title.
They succeeded 11-8, 12-10, 11-4, 3-11, 11-7.

position in the draw, by winning the Men’s Doubles title at the final
expense of colleagues and no.2 seeds, Ma Long and Xu Xin, at the H.I.S.

Women’s World champions both negotiated their fourth round matches in

May 2009.However, both experienced problems; both had to dig deep into their mental reserves to emerge victorious; especially Guo Yue.
