A delegation led by Sergey Korkin climbed on top of Mount Elbrus, the highest mountain in Europe. The Vice-President of the Ukraine Table Tennis Federation was not the first man to do that, but no other expedition before took along table tennis equipment.

The English translation of “Ogi - the Life of Ichiro Ogimura”, by Mitsuru Jojima, was released at the recent World Championships in Yokohama.
Originally published by Kodansha in Japanese as “Ping Pong-san” (2007), the book is a biography of legendary Ichiro Ogimura, twice World Singles champion, former President of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) who is widely respected as an innovator, author and visionary.

Since 2007 para table tennis has been part of several ITTF Level One Coach Education courses. At the recently held course in Mexico City, Beijing Paralympian Maria Paredes was on the spot herself supporting the Course Conductor and teaching the participants how to train players with a disability.
