Nobody could have possibly fought harder and through stint of
effort, combined no lack of ability, Australia’s Kyle Davis emerged
victorious in the closest match of the H.I.S. World Championships to
date and in what could well prove to be the closest match of the whole
tournament.

Practice over; it was stretch, stretch and more stretching for
Denmark’s Michael maze after his training session in the Yokohama Arena
on Monday 27th April 2009, the day prior to the start of the H.I.S.
World Championships.The reason for the exercises being to take care of the body and especially the lower back.

Timo Boll, the man in form and undoubtedly the major threat to
Chinese dominance in the male events at the H.I.S. World Championships,
has withdrawn from the prestigious global event due to start in
Yokohama on Tuesday 28th April 2008. -

Germany’s medal hope and world number four Timo Boll has withdrawn
from the Men’s Doubles event at the H.I.S. 2009 World Table Tennis
Championships starting on Tuesday.Problems during the
preparation with his lumbar column forced Boll to take this
precautionary measure. Boll is not the only male top player focusing on
the Singles. -

The Netherlands national team has set off for Asia in order to make
the final preparations for the H.I.S. 2009 World Table Tennis
Championships. Linda Creemers, Li Jiao, Li Jie and Carla Nouwen are
fully recovered from their injuries.After Trinko Keen’s retirement from international events, the Dutch team constists of four women but no male players.

set a new standard for internet television. On itTV, the internet
channel of the ITTF, one table will be continually covered.All matches on the TV table will be available on demand. From 2nd May, the broadcast from the Yokohama Arena will be live.
