The final of the Boys’ Teams event started badly for China. Yan An was 0-2 in games and 0-4 down against Korea’s Lee Sang Su. China’s Coach Li Yi then took the necessary time-out.

Yan came back much more aggressively, he won the game and the match. "I told him that his returns should not be as conservative as in the first two games," coach Li told about the adjustment.

In the second match, Seo Hyun Deok (KOR) played almost on the same level as Fang Bo (KOR); once again the Chinese player was calmer in the close moments. Cheng Jingqi (CHN) against Jung Young Sik (KOR) ended 3-1 in favour of China.

The most difficult moment for the boys from the People’s Republic eventually was the semi-final match against Japan, where Kenta Matsudaira won two matches. The boys from Korea Republic proved to be worthy opponents, but they had no superior player.
