Hurricane 3 has always been my all time favorite rubber. I’ve tried lots of different forehand rubber like Haifu BW2, Hammond, Sriver EL, Sriver, Sriver FX, Sriver G2 FX, Mark V, Bryce, Tenergy 05, Bryce Speed FX, Bryce Speed, Neos Sound, whenever I go play with Hurricane I’m always playing my best.
I guess its because of my playing style which is to loop a lot and chop whenever I need to. I hardly ever flip or flick, whatever you like to call it but whenever I do this rubber never fails me.
Having played all 3 types, commercial, provincial and national I can easily say provincial is the best having the hardest sponge which I like since the top sheet is tacky but still shows firmness. Commercial’s poor quality is the only thing that stops it from playing extremely well and national just has the softest sponge which I don’t particularly like.
Excellent for looping, especially mind games creating an extremely high and spinny loop and lower, faster, but still spinny loops. Basically this isn’t the fastest rubber around but its definitely not slow. Not exactly sure if its the spinniest but if not, one of them.
Good for chops, great for serves, excellent for loops. Best rubber ever made for offensive chinese style - or any style for that matter players.
Value for money is alright as well. Commercials are cheap and last long and playing isn’t bad at all, just inconsistent because of uneven sponge (by like fractions of a mm). The provincial one costs a bit more and plays much better. Lasts a tiny bit longer. National is pretty expensive but well worth the price. Its pretty durable but not as tacky as the other 2 but faster.
