The ITTF Advanced Coaching Manual will be available in January 2009.
A much awaited publication, it is another major step forward for the ITTF Development Programme which is less than ten years old, the progress under the guidance of Glenn Tepper, the ITTF Director of Development Programmes has been meteoric.
Ten years ago the concept did not exist-and evolved with the inauguration of the Oceania Development Programme in 1999, now in 2008 the programme involves no less than six full time staff and over 100 course conductors.
Comprehensive Publication
The ITTF Advanced Coaching Manual includes comprehensive details of ITTF Level Two, ITTF Level Three and ITTF High Performance Courses.
In preparation for the launch of the manual, a specially selected group of ITTF Course Conductors conversant in English and Spanish are attending a two days training course in Helsingborg, Sweden on Monday 3rd and Tuesday 4th November 2008.
French Speaking Completed
Training for French speaking coaches was completed in Paris on Monday 13th October 2008. Test courses for ITTF Level Two will be staged in Bahrain and Costa Rica before the end of 2008 in order to appraise the programme, prior to full implimentation in 2009.
Training in Helsingborg
In Helsingborg, the training was led by Philippe Molodzoff, the author of the manual with assistance from ITTF Directors, Glenn Tepper[Development] and Mikael Andersson[Education and Training].
