    Tin-Tin Ho picked twice by Europe for prestigious events

    England’s No. 1 cadet table tennis star, Tin-Tin Ho, received a double boost this month with selections in two of the most prestigious youth table tennis events in the world.
     
    First of all the girl from Paddington, who turned 15 last Tuesday (September 3rd), was picked to play in the European Youth Top 10 in Terni, Italy on September 20-22, before soon after, being selected to represent Europe in the World Cadet Challenge in Otocec, Slovenia on Oct 26 – Nov 3.
     
    Her selections come following another successful year for the young prodigy in which she has reached the European cadet No. 1 position, won three medals at the European Youth Championships and become the new English Under-21s Champion at just 14.
     
    It will be the first time Tin-Tin has competed in the European Youth Top 10, a tournament involving the top 10 ranked players from across the continent, which is a real test for the elite players on the circuit.
     
    She will start as the fourth seed for the event behind the firm favourite Marie Migot of France and her fellow European teammates Adina Diaconu (ROU) and Maria Malanina (RUS).
     
    Diaconu and Malanina also make up part of the European team that will compete at the World Cadet Challenge against representative sides from around the world.
     
    The aforementioned pair plus Tin-Tin and Belgium’s Lisa Lung, will head to Slovenia to face competition from the likes of Asia, Africa, Latin America, North America, Oceania plus a World Hopes Team and the host Slovenia side in singles, doubles and team competitions.
     
    Last year the English girl, who also won a medal at the Commonwealth Championships in India with the England’s Women’s Senior team, helped Europe to the team final while also securing 6th place in the singles and a doubles semi-final.

    English Table Tennis Association 

    The English Table Tennis Association (ETTA) is the governing body of table tennis in England, responsible for representing, coordinating, administering, regulating, promoting, marketing and developing the sport.     European Youth Top 10 tournament 

    An ETTU tournament, established in 1985 in its original format as a Top 12 tournament. The format is a round-robin tournament which sees the top 10 ranked players in Europe for their age group compete in what is considered the most prestigious and hardest to win youth tournament in Europe. This year this tournament will take place in Terni, Italy. Last years tournament was held in Romania and was won by Audrey Zarif of France. This will be Tin-Tins first time in this particular competition.
