Viktoria and Veronika Pavlovich both reached the quarter-final stage
on the penultimate day at the Danish Open in Frederikshavn. World no.
34 Viktoria overcame Poland’s Li Qian in five games.

Veronika (no. 67) for her part eliminated Tamara Boros after saving three match points.

    The
twin sisters will now play a quarter-final within the family. The
winner will face either Wen Jia or Liu Shiwen, both from China.

Veronika Pavlovich Overcomes Tamara Boros for the First Time
    The
victory of Veronika over Tamara Boros was somewhat of a surprise. "I
thought I had a chance", a shining Veronika Pavlovich said still
exhausted. "Tamara is an excellent player, it’s the first time I have
    won against her today."

Clever Korean Kim Wins in the Clean City
    The
no.1 seed in the Women’s Singles event at the Danish Open, Kim Kyung
Ah, reached the quarter-finals thanks to a four-one win over China’s
Ding Ning. The world no. 10 was clever throughout the match.

    Another
Chinese player awaits in the semi-finals for Kim if she beats Germany’s
Elke Schall. The German, however, seems to be in top form. Schall won
in straight games in the all German duel against Wu Jiaduo.

    No Coach but Video Analysis
    Like
all the Korean players at the Danish Open, Kim Kyung Ah had no coach
helping her with tactical tips. "Before the match I watched the video
of Ding Ning and knew how to play", Kim was quoted.

    Between
video analysis and matches, the 31 year has no time for other things.
Still she has already seen something of the north European town of
Frederikshavn. "It’s clean and beautiful", was her simple comment about
    it.
