TMS and Tamasu (Butterfly) has agreed on terms that will bring
Butterfly as a sponsor for the 2010 World Table Tennis Championships in
Moscow.
TMS, the marketing company working for the ITTF,
announced that Butterfly will be the "Official Ball Sponsor and
Supplier" for the event in the Russian capital.
Deal Satisfies ITTF President
"The
ITTF is very pleased to have Tamasu Butterfly again as an equipment
sponsor for the World Championships", ITTF President Adham Sharara
stated.
"The relationship between the ITTF and Tamasu Co. is a
very long and strong one and we are happy to strengthen these ties.
Tamasu Co, not only sponsors our top events they have also helped our
Development Programme and of course our Junior Programme for many years"
Anders
Thunström, Managing Director of TMS International agrees: "The deal
shows that Butterfly has confidence in the ITTF and TMS."
All Equipment Rights for Moscow Sold
With
the sponsorship agreement in place with Butterfly, all the equipment
rights for the 2010 World Championships have been sold by TMS. DHS
(Double Happiness, China) will become the Official Table Sponsor and
Supplier for the Championships. The French company Gerflor will be the
Official Sports Flooring Sponsor for the event.
In addition to
all equipment sponsorships, the German/Swiss construction machines and
domestic appliances manufacturer LIEBHERR is confirmed as Major Sponsor
for the event being staged from 23rd to 30th May 2010 in the Russian
capital.
