    At the ERKE Austrian Open in Salzburg starting on 29th October thebest table tennis players from the old continent will meet once againafter the European Championships played earlier in the month.

    Germany’sTimo Boll and Austria’s Chen Weixing have already drawn the attentionto the event. The triple European Champion and the Chinese borndefensive ace played a few rallies in a breathtaking environment.

    Austria versus Germany, a Chance for Revenge
    TheTeam event at the ERKE Austrian Open is a promising affair. The hostswill be given the chance to take revenge for the semi-final loss at theEuropean Championships in St. Petersburg. Germany as well as Austriaannounced that they plan to line up their best teams.

    Local heroWerner Schlager finally wants a home win at the Austrian Open. For surethis is not going to be an easy task this time. Not only Germany withTimo Boll and Dimitrij Ovtcharov but also Gao Ning of Singapore andChuan-Chih Yuan, Chinese Taipei, are hot candidates for the Pro Tourtitle in the Mozart town.

    AfterSalzburg, the ITTF Pro Tour will go to Berlin, Germany and Warsaw,Poland. The Volkswagen Pro Tour Grand Finals will be staged in Macaofrom 11th to 14th December.
